MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (November 27, 2017) - Litigation boutique firm Greene Espel PLLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Holley Horrell and Virginia (Ginny) McCalmont to its team of litigators, counselors, and investigators.

Prior to joining Greene Espel, Holley clerked for Judge Joan N. Ericksen of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. And before clerking she spent three years at Irell & Manella’s Los Angeles office where she specialized in securities and intellectual-property litigation as well as white collar criminal defense in both state and federal courts. During that time, she successfully opposed a motion to compel arbitration of claims filed in federal court, assisted a winning ITC trial team in a case involving a well-known shoe brand’s alleged trade dress, and successfully petitioned the Army to upgrade a pro bono client’s discharge status in light of the client’s PTSD.

At Duke, Holley wrote and edited The Chronicle and studied abroad in Beijing and Paris. Holley is fluent in French.

Before clerking, Ginny worked in several legal-services roles including as an AmeriCorps member for Iowa Legal Aid where she represented clients in administrative hearings and appeals, established and ran a monthly pro se divorce clinic, and drafted a study of the economic benefits for Iowa Legal Aid’s services.

Ginny is a 2015 graduate of Yale Law School where she was honored with the Stephen J. Massey Prize for clinical work.
