X. Kevin Zhao Appointed to the Commission on Judicial Selection

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan appointed X. Kevin Zhao to serve on the Commission on Judicial Selection, which solicits, considers, and recommends candidates to the Governor for vacancies in the district courts and the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. The Governor’s appointees include six at-large members and 20 district members, two from each of the ten judicial districts.

Kevin represents business clients in disputes including multidistrict, antitrust, and consumer class actions; contract, tort, and fiduciary-duty claims; and product-liability litigation. He has authored winning briefs and argued successful dispositive and non-dispositive motions for clients in significant lawsuits and arbitrations. Before joining the Greene Espel, Kevin clerked for The Honorable Patrick J. Schiltz of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota as well as The Honorable James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
