Greene Espel welcomes new colleagues
We are proud to announce that Megan M. Walsh, Katherine M. Swenson, Karl C. Procaccini, and Janine A. Wetzel have joined our firm. They share our commitment to exceptional client service and excellence in the practice of law.
Megan is a 2006 graduate of Duke University School of Law where she was named Editor-in-Chief of Law and Contemporary Problems. She clerked for the Honorable Diana Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit.
Megan joined our firm after practicing at Sidley Austin for three years handling commercial litigation, including securities and antitrust disputes. Before her time at Sidley Austin, she served as Senior Legal Counsel to the House of Delegates of the Republic of Palau.
Megan is an avid scuba diver and fitness enthusiast.
Kate is a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of Minnesota Journal of International Law. She joined our firm after serving as legal counsel to the Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel and clerking for the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Kate played hockey as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota. In addition to her prowess on the ice, she is a two-time Jeopardy! winner.
Karl is a 2010 magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where he served as executive editor of Harvard Human Rights Journal. Karl joined our firm after clerking for the Honorable Chief Judge Michael J. Davis of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Honorable Diana E. Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Karl received his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law at The American University in Cairo and his A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College.
Karl taught music and European history at the American International School in Cairo before attending law school. Karl loves a good road trip and jazz music.
Janine is a 2011 graduate of Stanford Law School, where she was executive editor of the Stanford Law Review. Before joining our firm, Janine clerked for Justice Alan C. Page of the Minnesota Supreme Court.
Before law school, Janine spent several years with Teach for America, first teaching math in Mississippi and then working as a recruitment director in Minneapolis.
After graduating from St. Olaf College magna cum laude, Janine served a three-year term as a Regent on the St. Olaf College Board of Regents.
