Elections and Redistricting
Greene Espel takes on attacks to voting rights and democratic institutions—and wins. We take on lawsuits to tackle voter suppression, election subversion, and districting issues.
Greene Espel’s Elections and Redistricting practice is focused on all things pro-democracy. We know how to develop lawsuits that protect voting rights and advocate for fairly drawn district maps.
We represent political parties and campaigns in disputes arising out of elections and recounts. We partner with individuals and organizations seeking to ensure fair election processes and to eliminate obstacles to voter registration and participation. And we have experience with regulatory bodies, including the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).
We are uniquely effective at this work because our team is also experienced in federal, state, and local politics. Many of our team members have served on political campaigns, so we understand the ins-and-outs of the political process. Our team members also served as counsel to the Minnesota Special Redistricting Panel, Political Research Deputy at EMILY’s List, and other relevant partners.
